The state of Massachusetts and Labcorp are teaming up to make convenient at-home kits for COVID-19 testing available to Massachusetts residents.

How It Works

1. Confirm your eligibility based on the criteria listed below.


2. Provide your insurance information and create your Pixel by Labcorp account.

4. Register your kit, collect your sample, and send it back to our world-class lab for testing

5. Access your results online

For all eligible individuals, this COVID-19 test is provided at no cost to you and is covered by your health insurance plan or, if you do not have health insurance, by the federal government. To be eligible to receive this test, at no cost to you, you must meet one or more of the following criteria. If you do not meet any of the eligibility criteria listed below, you may still be eligible to receive testing at no cost to you at one of the testing sites in Massachusetts. I have symptoms of COVID-19

This includes individuals with mild symptoms.  

Possible symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills; Signs of a lower respiratory illness (e.g., cough, shortness of breath, lowered oxygen saturation);
  • Fatigue, sore throat, runny nose or congestion, headache, body aches/myalgia, or new loss of sense of taste or smell;
  • Other less common symptoms can include gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), rash, inflammatory conditions such as “COVID toes”, and thromboembolic events;
  • In elderly, chronically ill, or debilitated individuals such as residents of a long-term care facility, symptoms of COVID-19 may be subtle such as alterations in mental status or in blood glucose control
NOTE: Individuals with severe symptoms should seek medical attention immediately. Massachusetts residents can visit to get advice from an online health assistant safely at home, for free.
I’ve been recommended to receive testing

I've been asked to get testing by my healthcare provider, public health department, or a contact investigator.

I have been exposed to COVID-19

I have been exposed to someone with diagnosed or presumed COVID-19. This includes being within 6ft of the person for a prolonged period of time or being coughed on.

I live or work in a congregate setting

I live or work in a congregate setting (a place where people reside, meet, or gather in close proximity). This includes nursing homes or other long term care facilities, healthcare settings, office buildings, workplaces, schools, group homes, homeless shelters, prisons, and detention centers.
