The state of Massachusetts and Labcorp are teaming up to make convenient at-home kits for COVID-19 testing available to Massachusetts residents.

To be eligible to receive this test, at no cost to you, you must meet one or more of the following criteria.

For all eligible individuals, this COVID-19 test is provided at no cost to you and is covered by your health insurance plan or, if you do not have health insurance, by the federal government. To be eligible to receive this test, at no cost to you, you must meet one or more of the following criteria. If you do not meet any of the eligibility criteria listed below, you may still be eligible to receive testing at no cost to you at one of the testing sites in Massachusetts. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced that the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) for COVID-19 that was declared under Section 319 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, expires at the end of the day on May 11, 2023. As such, individuals will be responsible for the full cost of COVID-19 testing at the time of purchase effective on May 12, 2023. See Public Health Emergency Expiration FAQs for more information.

  • This includes individuals with mild symptoms. 

  • I've been asked to get testing by my healthcare provider, public health department, or a contact investigator.

  • I have been exposed to someone with diagnosed or presumed COVID-19. This includes being within 6ft of the person for a prolonged period of time or being coughed on.

  • I live or work in a congregate setting (a place where people reside, meet, or gather in close proximity). This includes nursing homes or other long term care facilities, healthcare settings, office buildings, workplaces, schools, group homes, homeless shelters, prisons, and detention centers.
